I don’t know what’s holding back the developers at phpBB but in my view, they’re long overdue for a major release of their otherwise excellent forum script.
The new release should fix all the bugs, upgrade the overall interface, streamline the code, incorporate AJAX and take advantage of PHP 5 and MySQL 5.
