Customers of dedicated server providers Ev1Servers, The Planet and ServerMatrix are concerned about hurricane RITA heading for Texas.

EV1 has taken a series of measures to be ready for the worst scenario. They will also run their datacenters with the minimum staff during the hurricane period. To learn more about the situation at EV1, read the forum threads here and here.

Netcraft reported today that DirectNIC is affected by Katrina and strugling to stay online. DirectNIC’s CEO is posting updates of the situation on a special blog with picture pages here and there.
